Benefits fair, flu shots and more on Nov. 2

CSU faculty, administrative professionals and other non-classified staff enrolled in an Anthem health plan can receive a free flu shot, biometrics and lipid/glucose screening at the annual FITLife Health Fair on Nov. 2 in the Lory Student Center Ballroom.

benefitsfairHealth Fair hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; online registration for the flu shot (http://hrs.colostate.edu/benefits/Health-Fair-AFAP.html) is required so that there are enough doses on hand, but you can stop by any time to receive your vaccine.

At the same time, you can also stop by the annual Benefits Fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to speak directly with medical, dental and vision plan vendors, along with retirement plan and ancillary benefit providers.

Other on- and off-campus providers also will be on hand to answer questions:

  • AP Council (APC)
  • Food Science and Human Nutrition
  • Campus Recreation
  • Health and Exercise Science
  • Early Childhood Center
  • Training and Organizational Development
  • Environmental Health Services
  • University Benefits Committee (UBC)

The Benefits Fair gives employees a chance to learn more about the array of resources available on campus ahead of the open enrollment period. This year, Open Enrollment starts on Monday, Oct. 31, and runs through Friday, Nov. 18.

In an effort to limit the financial burden on employees and reduce increases in out-of-pocket costs from rising premiums, the President’s Office and the Operations Committee of Cabinet worked with Human Resources to restructure the employee-university cost-share model for medical plan coverage in 2017.

Additional Health Fair dates

Human Resources is offering two more Health Fair dates, Nov. 11 and Nov. 17, in LSC Room 382. The hours are 1-4:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, and 8 a.m.-noon on Nov. 17.

In addition to the free flu shots, blood pressure and BMI measurements, and blood draw for the lipid/glucose panel, other blood tests are available for a fee at all the Health Fairs. More information is available at http://hrs.colostate.edu/benefits/Health-Fair-AFAP.html.
