Baby proteins in single cells. See them live.

Understanding how genes turn on and off in living cells is the research passion of Colorado State University’s Tim Stasevich.

An assistant professor in biochemistry and molecular biology, a Boettcher Investigator, and recipient of a Keck Foundation award, Stasevich uses fluorescence microscopy to uncover never-before-seen events in basic genetic processes.

Watch one of the Stasevich lab’s most recent breakthroughs – RNA translation in real time – come to life.
