Native cultures will be celebrated at Colorado State University at the start of Native American Heritage Month with the 34th annual CSU Pow-Wow in the Lory Student Center Grand Ballroom on Oct. 30.
- Doors open at 10 a.m., and the Gourd Dance begins at 10:30 a.m.
- The Pow-Wow begins with the Grand Entry at 1 p.m. and continues throughout the day.
- The Pow-Wow Feed begins at 5 p.m., followed by another Grand Entry at 7 p.m.
- The festivities wrap up at 10 p.m.
Community members and students alike are welcome and encouraged to attend this free event, which will feature Pow-Wow dancers, drum groups, food, vendors, social events and more.
This event is sponsored by the Native American Cultural Center, American Indian Science & Engineering Society, Associated Students of Colorado State University, RamEvents and Colorado State University.
To set the mood for the Pow-Wow, there will be a frybread sale, drum group, and Pow Wow dance expo in the Sutherland Sculpture Garden on the west side of the LSC, Friday, Oct. 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Nov. 1 – Laramie Foothills Conservation Herd: Revisitng the Bison Release One Year Later, Avogadro’s Number, 605 S. Mason, 5-6:30 p.m.
Nov. 1 and 2 – Featured Native American dishes at the Aspen Grille, Lory Student Center. For reservations, call 491-7006.
Nov. 7 – Open House at NACC in Lory Student Center 327, hosted by the North Star Peer Mentors, 5-6:30 pm.
Nov. 10 – #HandsOffMyHeritage Artists Reception, Duhesa Art Gallery, upper level of Lory Student Center, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Nov. 10 – Keynote speaker Dr. Adrienne Keene, creator and author of the blog Native Appropriation, Lory Student Center Ballroom D, 7 p.m.

New this year, to celebrate Native American Heritage Month, a special billed cap featuring artwork design by NACC students is on sale at the CSU Bookstore in the Lory Student Center while supplies last.
For each hat sold, $10 will be donated to NACC to support student programs.
