2016 Martin Luther King Jr. March Leaders needed

The planning committee for the 2016 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is seeking nominations for community activists, leaders and volunteers to serve as March Leaders.

The theme for the 2016 celebration will be “Facing Racism: Our Responsibility to Act” and we hope to have March Leaders who are active change agents in Northern Colorado.  We are looking for people who are working to achieve equality and justice for all through their efforts.  They can be leaders in a formal or informal setting.

The March will take place on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.  It will start at 11 a.m. in Old Town Square Fort Collins and proceed to the Lory Student Center for the MLK Celebration.

If you know of people we should consider please send their name and short description of why you think they should be a March Leader, including a description of the social justice work to which the individual is committed, to Amber Ramoz (amber.ramoz@colostate.edu) by Wednesday, Dec. 2, at noon.
